Announcement of Scientific Educational Program: “Advancing MM Treatment: Targeted Therapies and Strategies for Better Patient Outcomes”

The Department of Clinical Therapeutics, School of Medicine, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), is pleased to announce the organization of the scientific educational program:

“Advancing MM Treatment: Targeted Therapies and Strategies for Better Patient Outcomes”

The program will take place on 22–23 May 2026, at the Athens University History Museum, Athens, Greece.

This two-day educational program is designed to provide a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of current developments in the management of Multiple Myeloma (MM), with particular emphasis on relapsed/refractory disease (RRMM) and the integration of novel targeted therapies, including BCMA-directed approaches.

The scientific content combines state-of-the-art lectures with interactive sessions, aiming to enhance clinical decision-making and optimize patient outcomes.

The program will cover key aspects of Multiple Myeloma, including:

  • diagnostic approaches and prognostic stratification
  • response evaluation and disease monitoring
  • frontline and advanced treatment strategies
  • BCMA-targeted therapies and sequencing considerations
  • management of treatment-related adverse events
  • mechanisms of resistance and emerging therapeutic options
  • renal disease 
  • AL amyloidosis

Special emphasis is placed on case-based learning, enabling participants to engage in the discussion of complex, real-world clinical scenarios.
